Korupt was originally formed in the early 1980's, back when big hair, fishnet, chains, and flashy guitars dominated the music scene. The original lineup included Karl Reichenbach (drums), Sean McAuliffe (vocals), Dave Beal (bassist), Aubry Bradley (guitar), Rob Elliott (guitar), and enjoyed a large following from Baltimore to Richmond. Back in those days there were many great rock clubs! Remember Hammerjacks? Coast to Coast? The Network? The Bayou? Well, to make a long story short, things changed, people change, the music changed (Grunge? What is that anyway?), all of the members went on to play in many memorable kick ass Baltimore bands. Some got married and were blessed with children and good jobs and put the music on the back burner for a few years.

After a few years, they realized that something was missing from the Baltimore Rock scene- no 80's music! And we are not talking about Billy Idol or Depeche Mode we are talking about kick ass rock! Dio, Ozzy, XYZ, Judas Priest, Dokken, Mettallica, Skid Row, RATT, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin (everyone needs Zep now and then!), Deep Purple, AC/DC, Journey, and all the cool rock hits you can dream of. So Karl and Sean hooked up with a couple of guys they met along their musical paths and reformed Korupt to bring back that good time 80s rock feeling into the clubs and hearts of club goers.

Dave moved on and bassist John Taylor (now that was an awesome dude!) played with them for a year and left to pursue other projects. Jack took over the bass responsibilities, Shelby took a hiatus and Sean and Karl filled the spots with two other phenomenal guitarists Robby Anderson and Lou Tonson. Robby and Lou helped the band keep the feeling alive.

October 2007: Original bad ass bassist, Dave Beall is back! So look out everyone! Jack has moved on to play music more to his preference. I'm sure you'll hear more about him in his new band. We wish him all the best.

The chemistry with Robby's great guitar licks and enthusiasm; Lou's incredible guitar and keyboard ability, along with his heart, intelligence and dedication; Dave with is wild and crazy antics will keep you entertained; Karl's incredible, hard-hitting drumming and vocals that his famous father and brother are both very proud of; and last but not least, Sean's incredible high octave range and spirit to keep on going; this band is better than ever! They are working hard to bring back some fresh and much needed 80's style and some newer and some older rock to your listening ears. The bottom line is these guys rock!
